Point Loma is a really a great neighborhood and encompasses all of what SoCal life has to offer. Easy access to beautiful beaches and other areas such as Downtown, this place really is a great place regardless if you are vacationing or in San Diego for work.

You can’t ask for more when it comes to the beautiful beaches, which are perfect for surfing, swimming, playing, tanning, etc. Don’t forget to cruise the OB coastline along Sunset Cliffs Boulevard to catch amazing views of the Pacific and its sunsets.

Newport Avenue has so much to offer, great boutiques, microbreweries, restaurants, and bars. Every Wednesday near the beach, Newport Avenue is blocked off for the famous OB Farmer’s Market, where you can get the best fresh produce and check out goods of local merchants and artists.

If you want to explore other beaches then we suggest Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. Besides having the Pacific and the Bay at your fingertips, a very colorful boardwalk connects the two beaches. Just hop on the boardwalk, but be sure to look both ways first, and experience what the boardwalk is all about in SoCal. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, surf/bike rental shops, and convenient/liquor stores. The Mission Bay Aquatic Center is also nearby and a great place to get all your water activities rentals!

Point Loma is easy to get around and you can pretty much get around however you like! If you are driving, you have direct access to the 5 and 8 freeways! If you prefer streets, then just hop on Nimitz Boulevard for easy access to Downtown as well as the beaches of Mission and Pacific.

The 35 bus is the main bus that runs in Ocean Beach, which has a direct route to the Old Town Transit Center, where you can catch trolleys, buses, or trains to virtually any part of San Diego.
